International Workshop in Amsterdam successfully opened our project
International Workshop ‘Europe, Sport and Heritage. Ontological and Thematic Approach’ was successfully held last week in Amsterdam, with which My Sporting Heritage started the educational and practical realization of the project.
The training has gathered experts on the history of the sport taking into perspective philosophical and social aspect of sport and its valuable heritage. As the project aims at covering sporting heritage from arts and humanities points of view, My Sporting Heritage will cover the topic of sport in the broader context in order to present rather rich and complex history.
Throughout history, sport has very often been influenced by social and historical phenomena, such as wars, crises or economic booms. Hence, sport heritage has a dynamic history very frequently following the daily needs of society.
