Here we are presenting you collected examples of good practices titled Defending Sports Heritage - A European Challenge as a part of the project My Sporting Heritage.
The document covers fifteen examples of practices in regards to collecting the sport heritage in European geographic spectrum.
The article answers to the question why preservation and promotion of sport heritage matters. It is presented in the context of the following thematic scopes: Social impact and inclusion, Socio-economic value, Preservation and innovation and Collective memory.
It also brings recommendations and description of examples of practices from Portugal, Spain, Finland, Greece, Ireland, Lithuania, Hungary, Sweden, France, Belgium, Italy, Bulgarian and European transnational projects.
