New Educational Games Launched within the My Sporting Heritage Project

The My Sporting Heritage project is pleased to announce the release of a set of educational games developed as part of its pedagogical toolkit.

These activities invite young participants, as well as teachers, educators and sport enthusiasts, to explore the stories, values and cultural significance of sporting heritage across Europe through playful learning and creative challenges.

Designed primarily for young people aged 11-14, the games combine storytelling, problem-solving and discovery, offering teachers, youth workers and cultural organisations engaging tools for both educational and informal learning environments.

Escape Card Game

The My Sporting Heritage Escape Card Game is a puzzle-based activity that invites players to solve challenges inspired by remarkable moments in European sporting history. Through a series of cards, clues and visual elements, participants work together to uncover stories about athletes, sporting events and historical achievements. The game encourages teamwork, curiosity and critical thinking while introducing players to the cultural heritage of sport in an engaging and interactive way.

Geocaching Adventure

The My Sporting Heritage Geocaching Adventure brings learning outdoors by combining sport heritage with exploration in nature. Players follow geocaching trails and discover hidden locations connected to stories of sport, movement and European cultural heritage. Each stop along the route reveals a new challenge, encouraging participants to collaborate, observe their surroundings and connect physical activity with historical discovery.

All games are now available online as part of the My Sporting Heritage pedagogical toolkit.
